A Photography Post

So, today I carried my new old camera around with me for a little bit. I bought it used off of ebay, as 1. I can't afford a new one. and 2. They just don't make cameras like this one any more.

Now, I wouldn't have minded buying one it a little bit better shape than this one, but hey. Ya gotta work inside your budget, right? ;D

Anyway, it is a Panasonic DMC-FZ30. It is a pretty nice camera. Easy to use. Lots of manual control. Takes some pretty good pictures. Pretty cheap.

So, here is a little sample pic. Don't judge. I'm just getting going, and I'd never used the camera before. Well, and I only took a few pictures on the way back home for lunch.

Also, remotely related. I found the coolest new camera ever today. It is called the Lyto and it is seriously cool. Now, it may not look like much, but this camera does things a bit differently. With this camera, you focus after you take the picture. Yes, you read that right. This camera doesn't take normal pictures. It is actually capturing something that is called a light field. Which means that you can focus it as many times as you want after the fact. Don't believe me? Check out their gallery.

I want one. Now if only I had money. . .
