So, I kind of like CWWYG cooking. It is fun! And you get to constantly invent things! Things like cheesy potato pork pockets!
Yes, so I was hungry, and I just happened to have a can of biscuits, about a pound of cooked ground sausage, some potatoes, a bit of cheese, a can of cream of chicken soup, and some red onion. So, obviously those things were all put together.
I cooked the potatoes in the microwave before adding them, as I knew that they wouldn't cook long enough otherwise.
And then I flattened out the biscuits, filled them with filling, and cooked them at 350ยบ for about 20 minutes. The end result was actually surprisingly good. I ate four of them for lunch, which was about right for me.
I used about:
1 lb cooked ground sausage
3 medium potatoes, previously baked
1/4 lb sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 medium red onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
a dash of chili powder
I used the chili powder because as of now I only have two seasonings, italian and chili powder, and I figured that since the sausage was already a little bit spicy, the chili powder would go well with it, though I bet you could use italian seasoning if you wanted to.
This made about enough to fill 16 biscuits, or four meals for me. Not too bad, price wise. And pretty tasty, even reheated. Though it could have used some black pepper. And maybe a white cheese would have been better. And some fresh peppers wouldn't have gone poorly.
