So, I've worked hard to be able to spend a little bit more time in this email today.
First of all, I wanted to congratulate Kerry more formally! Congrats on your upcoming wedding! That is fantastic! I am expecting pictures. (If you don't believe me, ask Clark and Natalia.) Also, speaking of the fantastic Earley family. Thank you for the pictures! I have been so happy to have them that I've been showing them off to pretty much everyone!
This last week has been very hot. VERY hot. I have decided that AC is vastly underappreciated in the states.
The work is really going pretty well here so far. We are starting to see a lot of changes in the ward and our area, and it makes me very happy. I'm sure that we'll be seeing a lot of people making the great decision to follow in our saviors steps and be baptized here soon.
In this area I have learned how vital the members are in missionary work. Without them, we can do very little. Sure, we can work a lot, and get to know a lot of people, but without working with the members that are already here we simplemente aren't effective as missionaries. Yes, it is more work to work with the members, but it is also 100 times more effective, in every aspect of the work. Every one of us has the ability, opportunity, and responsibility to help people find the joy that we have found in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ! I suggest reading Alma 6:6 and thinking about how we all can put it into practice, and not just for the missionaries, but also in our lives and with the people that we know and talk to every day.
Thank you for all of your prayers, support, and letters!
